Spirit of the Maasai Mara

Spirit of the Maasai Mara is a small lodge in the private Siana Conservancy, in its own quiet valley overlooking the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Staying in a conservancy means fewer vehicles and a more private wildlife experience, while the main reserve remains within reach. The lodge has just ten air-conditioned suites that combine modern design with traditional building materials, each with a lounge and private bar, an en suite bathroom with tub and shower, and a veranda overlooking the conservancy. A private waterhole and salt lick bring animals close, so you can watch wildlife from your suite. Meals are prepared by in-house chefs, and outdoor bush dinners can be arranged. Activities include game drives, guided bush walks and hikes where guides explain animal tracks and medicinal plants, sundowners followed by a short night drive, and hot air balloon flights with a champagne breakfast. Siana Airstrip is a short flight from Nairobi. The lodge’s small size and privacy make it well suited to honeymooners, couples and small groups.
