Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp

Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp lies in a private concession of around 25,000 hectares, just a few kilometres from the main entrance to Tarangire National Park. That location gives easy access to one of northern Tanzania’s finest parks for elephants, baobab studded landscapes and rich birdlife, while letting you return each evening to a quieter setting away from the busier park roads. The camp overlooks a branch of the Tarangire River, and in the dry season elephants can be seen digging into the sandy riverbed for water. Accommodation is in safari tents with private decks and en suite bathrooms, along with family tents that sleep up to five and a special luxury tent built around a baobab tree, complete with an outdoor bath and shower. The raised lounge and dining areas look across the riverbank, and an infinity pool offers a cooling break with a view. Game drives are taken with a private driver-guide, and visits to a Maasai boma can be added. With children of all ages welcome, it suits families as well as couples.
