Mara Intrepids Camp
Talek River, inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve
Mara Intrepids Camp lies in the heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, on the banks of the Talek River and within reach of the Mara River crossing points, making it a strong base for the annual wildebeest migration. Being inside the reserve means game drives begin right away, with the chance of big cats and large herds on the surrounding plains. The camp’s safari tents stand on raised wooden platforms and each has an en suite bathroom, while family units link two tents with a shared lounge. Between drives, guests can cool off in the swimming pool overlooking the river, relax at the bar by the fire pit, or book a massage. A swinging footbridge crosses to the game drive area, adding a touch of adventure. Activities include four-wheel drive safaris, birdwatching, cultural excursions and hot air balloon flights. Families are particularly well looked after, with a children’s club running activities for young explorers, while the camp’s setting and service also appeal to couples and first time visitors to Kenya.
