Kirawira Serena Camp
Hilltop in the Western Corridor, Serengeti National Park
Kirawira Serena Camp stands on a hilltop in the Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park, looking out across the Kirawira and Ndabaka plains. This western part of the park is closely linked with the great wildebeest migration as the herds move through the corridor, and the nearby Grumeti River is home to large crocodiles and hippo pools. The camp recreates the spirit of early twentieth century safari camps, with Edwardian style furnishings, four poster beds, brass lamps and writing desks, and each guest is looked after by a dedicated valet. Luxury tents stand on timber platforms, well spaced for privacy, each with its own furnished deck facing the plains. A rock enclosed swimming pool among stone waterfalls and trees has wide views over the plains, and spa treatments are available. Game drives in search of the Big Five are the focus, with balloon safaris, guided nature walks, bush breakfasts, bush dinners and sundowners adding to the experience. The romantic setting and attentive service make it a fine choice for honeymooners, couples and those celebrating a special occasion.
