Arusha Villa

Arusha Villa is a small, welcoming hotel set in the middle of a coffee plantation just outside Arusha town, in the quiet, rural Kilala area. It offers a peaceful alternative to staying in the busy centre, and it is well placed for the start or end of a northern Tanzania safari, with Kilimanjaro International Airport a little under an hour’s drive away and Lake Duluti close by. The rooms each have a spacious bathroom and a private balcony or terrace. Depending on the room, the view is over the gardens or across the valley, and on clear days to Mount Meru. Two family rooms can also be arranged as suites, which is helpful for families or friends travelling together. Outside there is a swimming pool with sun loungers and a terrace for relaxing, and monkeys are often seen in the trees. Breakfast is generous, tea and coffee are complimentary, and dinner is a three-course affair that makes good use of locally grown produce. Arusha Villa suits families, couples and travellers who want a calm, homely night or two before heading to Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.
