Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Amboseli Sopa Lodge lies on 200 acres of private land in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, near Kimana and about a 20 minute drive from Amboseli National Park. Being just outside the park makes the lodge quiet, while still putting Amboseli’s famous elephant herds, open plains and swamps within easy reach for morning and afternoon game drives. On clear days, especially at sunrise and sunset, the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro dominates the view. The lodge has 83 rooms, among them a honeymoon suite, interconnecting rooms for families and two rooms adapted for wheelchair users, and each room has its own patio. Guests can relax by the swimming pool, on the outdoor dining terrace or in the bar and lounge, and there is an open-air craft market selling local work. Activities include game drives in the park, nature walks and bush or outdoor dining.
