Tipilikwani Mara Camp
North bank of the Talek River, just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve
Tipilikwani Mara Camp stands on the northern bank of the Talek River, just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve, with its own footbridge across the river leading directly into the reserve. Game drives therefore start almost at the door, usually exploring the Sekenani sector, with morning, afternoon and full-day outings possible. The camp has twenty tents, each named after a well known East African, raised on wooden platforms with an en suite bathroom and a veranda, and two family tents made up of interconnecting units on a shared deck. A large swimming pool sits on the front lawn, and the thatched lounge and dining area, firepit and tea and coffee station make for easy, sociable evenings. The camp runs mainly on solar power. Away from the vehicles, you can join nature walks outside the reserve, visit a nearby Maasai village, go birdwatching or book an in-room massage, and hot air balloon flights can be added. With its family tents and children’s bushcraft activities, Tipilikwani is a great fit for families with older children, as well as couples and first-time visitors.
