Sanctuary Olonana

Sanctuary Olonana is a luxury tented camp on the banks of the Mara River in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, reached by a short flight from Nairobi to the Kichwa Tembo airstrip followed by a brief transfer. Its riverside setting is good for watching hippos and other wildlife from camp, and it gives access to the western Mara, where the annual wildebeest migration passes through in season. The camp has 14 elegant tents, each with an en suite bathroom, four poster bed and a large private veranda over the river, and two suites also have outdoor showers. Shared spaces include a lounge, library and dining room with river views, plus a spa offering treatments such as hot stone massage. Activities include game drives, nature walks, hot air balloon safaris, sundowners and bush breakfasts, lunches and dinners, sometimes on top of the Siria escarpment.
