Mara Elatia Camp
Oloololo Escarpment, Mara Triangle, overlooking the Mara River
Mara Elatia Camp sits on the Oloololo Escarpment in the Mara Triangle, the northwestern part of the Maasai Mara, with wide views over the Mara River and the Kalema Hills. Its name means the good neighbour in the Maa language. The Mara Triangle is known for its open grasslands and well managed roads, and from this elevated position the plains unfold below you, giving a real sense of space. Guests stay in sixteen safari tents, each with an en suite bathroom, rain shower and a private balcony to take in the scenery. Days can begin with a hot air balloon flight that ends with a champagne breakfast in the bush, followed by game drives in search of the Big Five. A standout option is a walking safari in the private Partakilat Conservancy led by Maasai guides, and there are also visits to a community led white rhino sanctuary. Evenings bring sundowners around the campfire and unhurried dinners. The camp suits couples, honeymooners and photographers who want seclusion, views and attentive service.
