Escarpment Luxury Lodge Manyara

Escarpment Luxury Lodge is perched high on the Great Rift Valley escarpment overlooking Lake Manyara National Park, with wide views down over the forest, the plains and the lake below. It is a small property of 16 chalets, each with a four-poster bed, a private lounge area, a large deck to take in the view and a bathroom with a big bath and both indoor and outdoor showers. The main lounge and dining area is wrapped by a broad deck, and meals are often served outdoors. An infinity pool looks out over the national park, and massages can be booked at the lodge. Lake Manyara is known for its birdlife and varied habitats, and the lodge is also well placed for day trips to the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. Closer to home, walking safaris with a Maasai guide and cultural visits can be arranged. As the lodge is unfenced in a wildlife area, guests are escorted after dark. It suits couples, honeymooners and photographers who want a peaceful base with a view.
