Arusha Coffee Lodge

Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge is set within a working coffee plantation on the edge of Arusha, the gateway town for safaris on Tanzania’s northern circuit. Rows of coffee bushes and mature gardens surround the lodge, giving it a calm, green setting away from the town centre. Accommodation is in 30 wooden chalets. The 12 Plantation Suites have a private outdoor terrace with a log fire, a rain shower and a bathtub, and the 18 Plantation Rooms have an in-room log fire and a verandah looking over the coffee garden. Interiors play on the plantation theme with warm, elegant touches. A swimming pool sits among the gardens and there is a spa for recovering after a long flight. Dining is at the Bacchus restaurant or the more casual 3° South café bistro, both using locally sourced ingredients, and the Traders Walk has small boutiques selling crafts, jewellery, clothing and gourmet coffee. Arusha Coffee Lodge works well for the first or last night of a safari and suits couples, honeymooners and families who appreciate a touch of luxury.
